Some friends and neighbors asked me to show them how to do Holiday Greeting cards in watercolor and the comments were remarkable.

“I want to get back into art”

I used to do that, I want to try again

My grandmother was an artist

If I just had the time I would love to do watercolors

I wish I could do something artistic

“I want to take an art class someday”These are the comments I have heard form friends, family and people I have just met over the last two years. It has been an interesting experience having people admire and purchase pieces for their homes or as gifts. Most of the time people want to share their desire to do something art oriented. They want to know how, they want to produce something they enjoy, they want to share, to find their own style. You can!The IF’s

  • IF I had the time
  • IF I had the space
  • IF I had the skill and ability
  • IF I had the chance to learn

Watercolors are a great way to get into making a little art.

Materials are readily available, don’t smell, water based easy clean up, simple to use, and do not require a lot of space. The kitchen table works fine, laundry room counter, coffee table, how about on the porch.

Watercolors dry fast and create unusual and sophisticated effects with little more than basic techniques.
