I was fortunate to be selected to have a piece of artwork entered in the International Watermedia Show held in June at Library 21C. The Pikes Peak Watercolor Society organizes this show every other year and had 83 pieces shown with 190 entries worldwide. All pieces in the show were selected by our Juror, Ted Nuttall who also provided Workshop sessions.
And for the first time…I was given an Award. Garden Ramble 2, a watercolor on canvas, was given a Silver Certificate Ribbon.
Thank you to the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society for another great event!
These Small Paintings are 6″ x 6″ and give us a chance to experiment with really strong shapes and vivid color. The Workshop will feature some of the basics of planning a painting and develop a strong composition before we begin to paint. A little patience and planning produces big results…no matter how small the piece.
These are examples of the Workshop Wonders that were produced by attendees at our Autumn Leaves Workshop.
We prepared the items for the November 7th First Friday Event at the Boulder Street Gallery.
Each of the pieces was framed and presented alongside the works from 26 other artists of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society. The response was favorable and we continue to get positive comments from the Art Society members. A big Thank You to all that participated, it was challenging and fun!
